Kelley "Big Red" Taylor

      Who's soul wrenching vocals grab you from the very second she begins to sing, will have you on your feet. Her live performances are guaranteed to camptivate audiences of all ages through her vocal talent and stage persona. When Big Red takes the stage it's all hers!  Influenced from a young age by Koko Taylor, "Big Mama" Thornton, Janis Joplin & Etta James you can hear the influence of these ledgends in every Big Red performance.

    Kelley grew up in St.louis, her mother's love of blues and R&B had her listening to many styles of music from a very young age. She had a love of sining her entire life, as a teen ager she would often have friends over  and sing to them. Too shy to ever try to sing in public, she spent most of her life only wishing to take the stage. After meetimg and marring Mike Taylor she began to sing a song or two with  him and lost her fear of the stage and hasn't looked back.
Big Red has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with  some heavy hitters in the blues world, Willie King, Bill Able, EG Kight, Deanna Bogart, Zack Harmon, Laura Price, Blind Mississippi Morris and many others. 
    After sing in a band and not having any control over the music and the bands direction, she decided to start her  own band, this is how Big Red & The Soul Benders was born.
